Three self-order options for alpine and ski huts

Option 1: Table ordering:

Our proven method allows guests to order directly at the table via smartphone.

Guests scan the QR code, place their order, and can even pay immediately. The order is automatically transferred to the POS system, and service staff then bring the order to the table. This saves staff unnecessary trips and payment processing.

Our tip: Set up a self-order-only area.

Guests can still order and pay with the waiter. However, we recommend setting up a self-ordering-only area with signage indicating that ordering and payment in this area are smartphone-only. In this area, runners only need to deliver the orders.

Option 2: Self-pickup via smartphone

The second option requires no delivery staff. Instead, your guests pick up their orders at the counter themselves.
How it works: Guests receive information about the ordering method as soon as they enter, ideally during the initial greeting. They also find a QR code with instructions on their table. Using the QR code, they place their order and can pay either immediately or at the end.
Once the order is ready, a staff member simply presses a pickup button. This automatically triggers a push notification and/or an SMS to the guest's smartphone. The order is now ready, and your guest picks it up at the counter.
This method requires the least amount of staff involvement.

Option 3: Self-pickup via ordering kiosk

The third method uses ordering kiosks, also known as ordering terminals. Large touchscreens allow guests to order and pay on-site. Their pickup number appears on a screen above the counter or is announced. The order can then be picked up at the counter.
