Bowling Alley 2.0 – Three Hacks Specifically for Bowling Alley Operators
Option 1:
Your staff works as usual with digital support.
Our classic model allows guests to order directly at the table via smartphone. Usually, guests first order from the server. If they are busy, guests simply use their smartphone.
The guest scans the QR code, places their order, and can pay immediately. The order is automatically logged in your POS system, and the server brings the order to the table. This model works just as well for bowling alleys. The benefits are clear: your staff saves time on unnecessary trips and payment processes.
Option 2:
Guests order themselves, your staff only delivers the order, and payment is handled at the end.
This option saves your staff even more time, as they only need to deliver the items. Here is how it works:
Guests are informed at the entrance that they order via QR code. If someone doesn't have a smartphone, a tablet is available for ordering. Orders are automatically assigned to the respective table or lane. At the end, guests settle their bill at the counter and return the tablet. This option works well even with unskilled staff, as the task is limited to delivery.
Option 3
The third option requires no delivery staff. Guests pick up their orders at the counter. Here is how it works:
Guests receive ordering instructions at the entrance. Alternatively, they find a QR code with instructions on their table or lane. Using the QR code, they place their order and pay either immediately or at the end. Once the order is ready, a staff member presses a notification button. This automatically sends a push notification or SMS to the guest's smartphone. The order is ready, and the guest goes to the counter to collect it.
This method requires the least amount of staff.
All these options have been used in hospitality and bowling alleys for years. We would be happy to explain more details.
